One of the most powerful warlords in 16th-century Japan, Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon is on his way to becoming a saint in the Catholic Church.
This four-part limited documentary series reconstructs his legendary life through the eyes of five contemporary Japanese people who go in search of "the samurai saint": a martial artist, a tea ceremony master, a business executive, a historian, and an ancestor. Each subject explores different facets of Justo’s character within distinct regions of Japan where Justo left his mark.
